Alicia Silverstone
This 43-year-old actress and author has been on plan-based diet since she was 21. Although she initially adopted the plant-based lifestyle for animal-rights reasons, she said that she was shocked with the results of going plant-based. On an interview she said “Once I went vegan, I lost the weight I wanted to lose, my nails were stronger, and my skin was glowing,” she said. She even feeds her son a plant based diet and she believes that this is the reason why her son is so well-behaved and never gets sick. Silverstone, the author of “The Kind Diet,” also encourages others to adopt a plant-based lifestyle. She said that the reason behind her enhanced complexion and appearance of skin is her healthy plant-based diet. Strawberries, avocadoes, tomatoes, and spinach are particularly known for their ability to improve the skin’s moisture content, and for cell regeneration.
  1. Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch who currently starred as the superhero “Dr. Strange” in the latest Avengers film Avengers: Infinity War follows a strict plant-based diet. He announced this plant-based lifestyle change during the promotion for Avengers.  The actor reveled that it is his plant-based diet that keeps him in movie-worthy shape and looks. He was even named as PETA’s Most Beautiful Vegan in the year 2018.

The former teenage heartthrob Zac Efron adopted plant-based diet recently. Efron claimed that plant-based foods changed the way his body metabolized food for the better. He even credits the plant-based diets for his svelte physique and skin glow. He added that transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle also benefited his sleep and his exercise routine. Going plant-based even helped Efron’s career as it helped him to lose 13lb in time for filming of the movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.

  1. Jay-Z & Beyoncé

Queen Bey and and Jay-Z are also in the long list of celebrity vegans.  Jay-Z, in 2013 switched to plant-based (vegan) diet. Beyoncé also partnered up with her husband for this 22-day vegan challenge. The singer admitted that her “skin was really firm and a lot tighter” after switching to plant-based diet.

Later in early 2018, to maintain their weight and clear, healthy skin, Beyonce again announced her decision to go vegan prior to her 2018 Coachella performance. This time she also shared a video detailing her vegan lifestyle prior to her Coachella performance. She has also teamed up with the Greenprint Project, to promote plant-based diet and to also make plant-based living more accessible.

  1. Michelle Pfeiffer

The renowned actress Michelle Pfeiffer reveled that the secret of her well-being, has a lot to do with her plant-based lifestyle and diet. In an interview with Urbanette, Pfeiffer said that there were several reasons for her to adopt a plant-based lifestyle.  She said that eating a plant-based diet helped her to maintain her health and complexion. She also mentioned that plant-based diet helped her avoid a lot of toxins that could age the skin and the body. She said that she noticed great difference in her skin in few days after switching to complete plant-based diet (vegan).

So, in addition to health and weight management, switching to a plant-based diet can also cause wonders to your skin!
